About the song: "Better Off Being Me" recalls a bedtime story in the style of Dr. Seuss, read by a parent to a young child.  It conveys the message that no matter the forces around us, and no matter the challenges we face, we're better off being ourselves.  

About the song: "Mother's Day" was written for my mom and for my spouse as a Mother's Day gift.  It tells a story of a mother and son re-connecting after a long while, with the son introducing the mom to his new love, and announcing that they have a little one on the way.   It was written in the style of Thin Lizzy.

About the song: "You're Not Alone" sends a message of support from accross the airwaves to those in need.  When you're thoughts and building up, and you're scared of what's to come -- you're not alone.  You wanna start a revolution, and make it better than before -- you're not alone.  It's time. Sunrise. You'll be alright. 

About the song: "Revolution Day" is a call for a socialist revolution in our time. The song was written in one sitting in 1997, in the style of DBL.

About the song: "Don't Say Goodbye" is about the rising tide of fascism is the US and globally.  Written and recorded over a 20 year span, the song posits that there's still time to save democracy, to which we may be saying goodnight, but not goodbye. 

About the Song: Release Me is a love song about heartache.  Written and recorded in Toronto in 2002, this demo is from the vault. 

About the song: "Norma Rae" was inspired by the movie or the same name, depicting a group of factory workers who form a union and stand up for better working conditions.

About the song: "Never Let Go" was written just after 9/11, and calls upon the international working class to build a red flag from the tattered threads of solidarity amidst a rising tide of hate.
